The Eternal (Aeonium) is genus of succulents, subtropical plants of the family Krassouloeidon and includes 35 species. Most species are endemic to the Canary Islands. The varieties of Aeonium arboretum have tall, thin, curved branches, on top of which there is a rosette of fleshy leaves. The Eternal (Aeonium tabuliforme) has an extremely flat rosette of thick leaves on low, which just reaches 10cm. The rosettes are almost black, with a slightly crimson sheen and green in the center. They are quite resistant to cold, but can not withstand frost and in Winter would be better to move them to protected locations. Both genera rosettes grow for a few years until they make from their center a small shoot of a small inflorescence.
