Perennial aromatic species with shrubby compact vegetation and silver-colored leaves. It has very fragrant blue-violet flowers from June to July. The inflorescence is standing by a piece of purple and elongated eggs that are about 5 cm long. The Latin specific stoechas adjective comes from the Greek stoichas meaning "in rows". It is also the Greek name of this kind.
